SilverStorm Mining Ltd. Receives La Parrilla Surface Drilling Permits
TSXV: SVRS | OTCQX: SVRSF | FSE: SVR

Overview

Silver Storm Mining Ltd. (TSXV:SVRS)(OTCQX:SVRSF)(FSE:SVR) announced on June 18, 2026 that it has secured permits for the construction of 62 drill pads and 27 access roads at its 100%-owned past-producing La Parrilla Silver Mine Complex in Durango State, Mexico. The permits were issued by the Mexican federal authority, Secretaria de Medio Ambiente y Recursos Naturales ("SEMARNAT"), and are valid for a period of 4 years.

In addition to the drilling permits, SEMARNAT provided an authorization for the continued operation of the existing tailings storage facility ("TSF") at La Parrilla for an additional period of 10 years. The previous SEMARNAT authorization to utilize the TSF was scheduled to expire in 3Q 2026. According to the company, the new authorization ensures the operational continuity of La Parrilla by maintaining its environmental operating license.

Key Highlights

  • SEMARNAT-issued permits authorize construction of 62 drill pads and 27 access roads at La Parrilla, valid for 4 years.
  • Permits cover 24 sites at the La Ilusion - Argenis target, as well as 32 sites at the 14 Marcos and Rosarios - C340 West Extension ("C340") targets.
  • At the C340 target, the company plans approximately 3,600 metres of surface drilling, with objectives including upgrading Inferred Resources at the past-producing Rosarios mine to the Indicated category and extending known mineralization to the west.
  • At the 14 Marcos target, Silver Storm intends to conduct an initial 3,000 metres of surface drilling to test mineralization to a depth of 300 metres. Historical artisanal mining at this target was carried out on two levels to a depth of approximately 100 metres.
  • SEMARNAT authorized continued operation of the existing TSF at La Parrilla for an additional period of 10 years, replacing an authorization that was scheduled to expire in 3Q 2026.
  • The scientific and technical information has been reviewed and approved by Qualified Persons Shane Ghouralal, P.Eng., Director, Technical Services of the Company, and Bruce Robbins, P.Geo., Chief Geologist of the Company, engaged as an independent consultant, as defined by NI 43-101.

Strategic and Operational Context

Greg McKenzie, President and CEO, stated: "Securing the permits to conduct surface drilling is an important milestone for our 2026 exploration program at La Parrilla. With multiple promising surface exploration targets on the La Parrilla land package, we are excited about the potential to grow the resource footprint on the property."

According to the company, the expected down-dip projection of the vein mined by artisanal miners at the 14 Marcos target lies approximately 140 metres south of mine development within the Rosarios mine. At the C340 target, the company is also planning to test high-grade mineralization in the upper levels of the C193 zone. The company notes that no mineral reserves have been established for La Parrilla, and mineral resources that are not reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability.

What to Watch Next

  • Execution of the initial exploration plan at the C340 target, including approximately 3,600 metres of planned surface drilling to upgrade Inferred Resources and extend mineralization to the west.
  • Commencement of the initial 3,000 metres of surface drilling at the 14 Marcos target to test mineralization to a depth of 300 metres.
  • Progress on the La Ilusion - Argenis target, for which 24 drill pad sites have been permitted.
  • The company's continued advancement toward a potential near-term restart of La Parrilla, as stated by the company.
